Our Services
Our Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT®) services are individualized with interventions grounded in neuroscience to support individuals and groups across the lifespan. Our clinicians are Board-Certified (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) and are licensed (LPMT) through the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH). Clinicians adhere to professional standards established by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
We collaborate closely with the individual, family, and interdisciplinary treatment team. Services may include individual, group, and collaborative approaches and are provided in a variety of settings, including our clinic, home-based settings, schools, clinical and medical environments, Early Intervention, hospitals, residential programs, assisted living facilities, community settings, and hospice care. We also offer in-services, workshops, and community-based programming. Services are available in in-person, virtual (telehealth), or hybrid formats.
What is Music Therapy?
Music Therapy is a clinical, evidence-based practice in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to support individualized goals and outcomes. Our services are client-centered, family-centered, and culturally responsive, with multilingual support available to meet the diverse needs of the individuals and communities that we serve.
Music Therapy services are provided across the lifespan from birth to end of life, supporting individuals with a wide range of developmental, medical, neurological, behavioral, and mental health needs. Music Therapy services support:

Prental - Age 3
Music therapy services for infants and young children, including prenatal, NICU, and Early Intervention (IFSP). Services support early development, bonding, and regulation through structured, individualized music-based interventions.

Performance-Based Groups
Performance-based groups provide opportunities for individuals to engage in structured music-making experiences that support expression, collaboration, and confidence. These groups focus on building musical, social, and functional skills within a group setting and may include opportunities for informal or community-based performance.
Community & Educational Services
In-services, workshops, community-based programming, and outreach initiatives designed to support organizations, staff, families and the community.
Training & Supervision
Clinical training, supervision, and internship opportunities, including full-time music therapy internships in alignment with AMTA and CBMT standards, undergraduate practicum placements through the University of Rhode Island (URI) Music Therapy Program, and high school internship experiences.
